Disney’s Martial Arts Festival: Day 1

The first day of Disney’s martial arts festival started with the Tiger Claw elite championships. This was my first time watching a mixed competition, and it was quite fun to watch. The first day was qualifiers, and the second day was the actual championships.

Other events of the day included creative weapons, creative forms, judo, point sparring, and sports grappling. It was hard to see everything since so many things were going on at the same time, but the creative weapons was interesting. Many of forms included flips and break dancing style moves with traditional techniques.

The rest of my pictures can be found on flickr.
