It seems that lock picking keeps growing each time I go to Defcon. There were vendors, LPCON 5, and the lock picking village.

In the lock picking village, there were a bunch of demo stations setup to practice on. But because it was so crowded, it seemed like you could only get advice if you were lucky (read: you were a chick).

Last year’s hot topic was bumping regular locks. This year’s hot topic was bumping a Medeco M3 high security lock, which is supposedly un-bumpable. Martin McKeay got interview and record Mark Tobias and Jennalynn on this very subject.
